Birgunj, Magh 11 - Creating a new milestone in Nepal’s aviation sector, Ayusha Kapri has been recognized as the youngest pilot from Parsa district. Her achievement in a field traditionally dominated by men stands as a powerful testament to the capability, confidence, and potential of Nepali women.
Born on Ashar 15, 2061 B.S. in Birgunj, Parsa, Ayusha dreamed of becoming a pilot from a very young age. Determined to turn her dream into reality, she completed her pilot training in the United States of America. Studying in an environment known for advanced technology, strict discipline, and high safety standards, she successfully overcame a demanding and highly competitive training process.
Aviation is considered a profession that demands immense responsibility along with technical and mental strength. Completing pilot training at such a young age reflects Ayusha’s continuous hard work, discipline, and strong determination. Coming from a modest family background, her father Birendra Kapri works as a bowser operator at the Nepal Oil Corporation. Despite limited resources, the unwavering support, trust, and encouragement of her family played a crucial role in her journey.
Ayusha also credits her success to the guidance and inspiration of her maternal uncle, Umesh Dhimal, who works at the Aviation Fuel Depot of Nepal Oil Corporation in Sinamangal. The practical knowledge and insights he shared about the aviation sector further strengthened her resolve to pursue a career as a pilot.
In a geographically challenging country like Nepal, air transportation plays a vital role, increasing the demand for skilled, disciplined, and responsible pilots. As the youngest pilot from Parsa, Ayusha Kapri’s rise is expected to encourage greater participation of women in aviation and inspire a new generation to pursue ambitious dreams.
Ayusha Kapri has not only taken to the skies herself but has also uplifted the dreams and confidence of thousands of young girls across Nepal. Her journey stands as a powerful example that with determination, family support, and guidance, even the most challenging dreams can be achieved.
